Grenada is known as one of the most beautiful of all Caribbean islands, as a volcanic chain that is still mostly unspoiled by development or tourism. This former British colony is also known for its nutmeg production and a casual way of life, so it’s not your typical strip of identical resorts.
In addition to just relaxing, scuba diving, snorkeling and the usual array of water sports are very popular here. There’s also an organic chocolate factory and some other unusual attractions.
Many of the resorts on Grenada are very pricey and among the most expensive in the Caribbean, but there are some more affordable hotels as well, plus a growing number of specialty eco-tourism resorts.

Location, location, location. Due to it’s great location, Grenada experiences steady temps in the 70s and 80s throughout the year and constant trade winds.
There is a bit of variation throughout the months with January to May being the driest and June to December being the wettest with small rain showers throughout. Generally the rain doesn’t last longer than an hour or so.
When visiting, remember to pack light clothing and bring your swim suit.

Somewhat of a newcomer in the Caribbean tourism scene, Grenada only has about 30 hotels and resorts, almost all of which are concentrated in the southwest corner of the country. There are a few relatively cheap hotels, but overall this is one of the more expensive islands to sleep on, with several extremely posh and pricey retreats.
Even though this island is less touristy than most of the other Caribbean islands, there is still a change in prices during the different hotel seasons.
During the winter months, mid December to April, visitors will find that they are paying about 1/3 more than they would be paying if they visited during the summer months.
Another thing to keep in mind is that if you wish to travel during any major holidays, you find not only higher hotel rates but more costly plane tickets.
Those who are more budget minded but are still seeking out great weather will find that their best bet is to visit during the months of May or June.
